A rare French cast iron children group in the manner of Jean Hardy (1653-1737). See the children's island fountain in Versailles. The group depicts two children seated and playing by water (as shown with bulrushes) and has now been covered in gold leaf to replicate the original.This group may have been part of a larger scheme fountain as in Versailles.
